PHOENIX TMI AQUILA DISPLAY AND CONTROL UNIT

Phoenix TMI Aquila is a display and control unit developed for concrete compression testing machines, cement compression testing machines, and material testing systems. The unit supports sensor signal acquisition, real-time display of load, stress, loading rate, and direct storage of test results.

Phoenix TMI Aquila can be used as a standalone display and control unit for new systems or as an upgrade and replacement solution for existing testing machines, depending on the sensor type and machine configuration.

The system supports a wide range of force and pressure sensors, allowing it to be integrated into different material testing applications.

APPLICATIONS

Phoenix TMI Aquila is suitable for applications including:

Concrete compression testing machines
Cement and mortar compression testing machines
Material compression testing systems
Flexural testing systems with suitable configurations
Upgrading existing testing machine displays
Replacing outdated or damaged display units
Force measurement systems using compatible pressure transducers or load cells

The unit can be configured to support testing methods in accordance with TCVN, ASTM, and other applicable standards depending on the testing machine, sensor configuration, and test method.

TEST DISPLAY AND MONITORING

Phoenix TMI Aquila allows operators to monitor key test parameters directly during the testing process, including:

Sensor force values
Loading rate
Real-time stress
Test results
Specimen type
Specimen dimensions
Test status

The system supports cube specimens, cylindrical specimens, and user-defined specimen dimensions, providing flexibility for different test configurations.

SENSOR CALIBRATION SYSTEM

Phoenix TMI Aquila supports calibration profiles for multiple sensors and allows the operator to select the appropriate calibration configuration for each test.

Supported calibration methods include:

Linear calibration
Polynomial calibration
Piecewise linear calibration

These calibration functions help reduce the effects of sensor non-linearity and allow the system to work across different force measurement ranges.

Phoenix TMI Aquila can store calibration configurations for multiple sensors, making it easier to switch between different testing methods or measurement ranges.

SENSOR COMPATIBILITY

Phoenix TMI Aquila is designed to work with multiple sensor types commonly used in material testing equipment, including:

Pressure transducers
Load cells
Sensors with 1.5–2.5 mV/V output
0–5 V analog sensors
0–10 V analog sensors

The unit provides 10 V sensor excitation and can be configured for integration with sensors already installed on existing testing systems.

ACCURACY AND STABILITY

The signal-processing system of Phoenix TMI Aquila is designed for force measurement applications requiring high accuracy and stable performance.

Key characteristics include:

Maximum measurement error of < 0.5% FS
Support for Class 1 accuracy requirements when properly configured and calibrated
Stable signal output during operation
Audible warning when the system approaches the load limit
High display resolution for material testing applications

USER INTERFACE

Phoenix TMI Aquila is equipped with a large display designed to make test parameters easy to read during operation.

The interface provides direct access to key functions such as specimen setup, test execution, result review, and sensor calibration.

TEST RESULT STORAGE

Phoenix TMI Aquila supports direct storage of test results in the unit’s internal memory.

Operators can store and review test data after completion of the test, reducing dependence on printed records and improving data management.

The system can store recent test results and may support expandable storage depending on the selected configuration.

CONNECTIVITY AND EXPANSION

Phoenix TMI Aquila supports computer connection through RS232, providing a platform for upgrading the system with software-based data acquisition, storage, and processing.

Depending on the system configuration, Phoenix TMI Aquila can be expanded to support:

Data transfer to a computer
Test data storage
Software-based result processing
Integration with laboratory data management systems
Future automation upgrades

DISPLAY UPGRADE AND REPLACEMENT

Phoenix TMI Aquila can be used to upgrade existing concrete compression machines, cement compression machines, and material testing equipment, replacing outdated display systems with a modern electronic measurement and signal-processing platform.

Upgrade compatibility depends on factors such as:

Existing sensor type
Sensor output signal
Control system configuration
Electrical connection
Mechanical and interface configuration of the existing machine

Checking the existing machine configuration before installation helps ensure suitable integration with Phoenix TMI Aquila.

WARRANTY

Phoenix TMI Aquila is supplied with a standard 12-month warranty.

Depending on the system configuration and project requirements, extended support or warranty options may also be available.
